What in the hot hell is the “New Era Pinstripe Bowl”? Is every NCAA football team that can field twelve guys getting a bowl these days?

To answer your question, yes. The sponsorships are bad enough: the Nokia Sugar Bowl, the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. But at least that’s just changing the name of a real bowl. These minor bowls have been an epidemic for years: the Carquest Bowl, the Insight.com Bowl. There are 35 bowl games so 70 teams get to participate. That’s one of the reasons they expanded the NCAA to 68 teams, because god forbid any mediocre team not get to play the postseason!

Seriously! Every rumdum and their cracked out sister school over in Oklahoma gets a damn bowl game. How in the frak does a team that doesn’t even have a winning record get a frakkin’ bowl? It’s just madness.

How about a stadium named after the Power Balance bracelets?
