Ricky Martin comes out of the closet.

Y’all. Who did Ricky ever think he was fooling and why didn’t he come out, like, ten freakin’ years ago? My evil twin Skippy says, “Really. He was only gayer than a rainbow-painted picnic basket carrying Toto in the middle of Castro street.” On the one hand, good for him. On the other, my hermeneutics of suspicion tells me that he’s coming out now because his career is in less of a precarious position than it appeared to be during his “Livin’ La Vida Loca” days (y’know, when he was moderately relevant). It’s amazing to me how people like Martin or an ex-athlete “come out” after there’s nothing left to lose. Again, that’s lovely and all, but I don’t read that as courageous. I’m sure he’ll be on the cover of “Out” or the “Advocate” within the hour and hailed as the new savior of all homosexuals.

Evidently about half the queers in Mankato, MN had no idea. And I’m not joking.

But have you seen his boyfriend? Hot hot hot.

Indeed! I also read that his boyfriend was the reason he “came out”–apparently, the BF pressured him into coming the rest of the way out of the closet because he didn’t like having their relationship on the DL.

The other rumor is that the “press” has some dirty photos of them.

Dirty, eh? Well, I think the public has a right to see them and to judge whether or not those photos are dirty. Purely for evaluation purposes, mind you. 😉
